CYANOTYPE PIN WORKSHOP IN TOKYO

Immerse yourself in the cozy, creative ambiance of Studio Biku and discover the magical art of Cyanotype, a centuries old photographic technique, to craft your own stunning fabric pin brooch.

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll be guided through the process of:

• Selecting plant materials and other items
• Testing cyanotype on paper
• Making a cyanotype fabric swatch
• Sewing your pin

Only a little sewing experience is required (straight stitch), making this the perfect workshop for beginners and seasoned makers alike. You’ll leave with a stunning handcrafted pin in a presentation box, ready to keep or gift to someone special.

The cyanotype process uses chemicals which many stain hands and clothes, Gloves and aprons will be provided.

The studio is located on the second floor of a two storey building with no elevator access.
