Embroider Your Clothes with Ria Paramita Session 2: 13:30 -16:00
A small-group, hands-on workshop focused on adding simple embroidery to everyday garments.
Over 2.5 hours, Ria Paramita will guide you through basic stitches and ways to place them on fabric. You’ll work directly on a piece of clothing you bring, using thread to add detail, repair, or change the look of the garment.
The session is paced and practical, with time to try techniques and get individual guidance. No prior experience is needed.
What you’ll learn:
- How to trace a design onto transfer paper
- 3 different stitches to complete your design (back stitch, chain stitch, French Knot)
- How to finish and remove the transfer paper
What you’ll make:
Bring your favourite piece of clothing to embellish with a design of your choice.
10 different designs to choose from.
Who it’s for:
Perfect for complete beginners or anyone looking to infuse their wardrobe items with personality. No prior experience needed.
What to bring:
A piece of clothing made from thin cotton or linen material such as a cotton shirt/ dress, a linen top/ skirt/ trousers.
This project is not suitable for tee shirts, denim, canvas, corduroy or silk.
If you don't have suitable clothing available, let us know and we will provide a cotton swatch for you to work on.
